The Calm Collective is a therapeutic group for those who are interested in learning to manage intense emotions and challenging situations through Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). In this group, DBT will allow us to discuss the importance of mindfulness, adaptive coping strategies, tolerance, and much more! Each session will include a mindfulness activity to ensure relaxation and calmness. Homework and practices will also be provided to strengthen all skills. The Calm Collective will be held virtually every Thursday at noon and will run for 10 weeks at a time. Clients are welcomed back each round if interested!
Group therapy helps people work through problems by interacting with a trauma-informed therapist and a group of individuals with similar struggles. In a safe, confidential setting, each group member can share personal experiences, feelings, and issues and receive feedback and support from the rest of the group.
If given advanced notice and when volunteers are available, childcare can be arranged.
