Support Group for Black NICU Families
DATES:
Every Tuesday
TIME:
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
LOCATION:
(Virtual)
A safe space for black families to come and connect through the shared experience of a NICU stay, and life after the NICU. In this space, we will discuss the differences of being black in the NICU and the common obstacles we face as black parents. We will talk about the micro aggressions we face, advocating for your baby and the on going ups and downs in the NICU. You are not obligated to stay the entire time dedicated for this group. We understand life goes on. Please feel free to leave the group as needed.
Please note: Our support groups are intended as a safe space for NICU and bereaved parents. If you are a NICU professional, please visit our resources for NICU Professionals for more information on how we can help you support the families in your care.
