High Risk Pregnancy Support Group

DATES:

Every Thursday

TIME:

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

LOCATION:

(Virtual)

Welcome to our group! This support group is for moms and mothers-to-be who may have increased health risks during pregnancy. You or your baby may have a health condition or diagnosis that puts you at a higher risk for an early or more specialized delivery. These might include:

- a pregnancy with one or more babies that is not going as planned

- additional appointments and specialists for you and/or your baby during pregnancy (eg. maternal-fetal doctors, genetic testing)

- bed rest at home or in the hospital

- a specific diagnosis (eg. gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, PROM/PPROM, incompetent cervix, IUGR, heart or genetic disorders)

You may have had a previous pregnancy with complications that led to a NICU stay or the loss of your baby, and understandably you have increased anxiety as you progress through this pregnancy. What might a NICU stay look like? How will you cope if another baby ends up in the NICU?

You are not alone. Your medical specialists will take care of your - and your baby's - needs, and we are here to support you through the emotional uncertainties that add to the stress of this pregnancy. Our peer support group is a safe space for you to share, ask questions, or just listen.

NICU Professionals and Students: Hand to Hold virtual support groups are for parents. We ask that any professional (student, social worker, medical professional, etc) do not attend these sessions. We invite to you attend our monthly Q&A Session to learn more about our support groups.

Instructions on how to join the group will be in your confirmation email. By clicking 'Register', you give us permission to use your email to communicate with you about these groups and other Hand to Hold services. We have open group formats, so feel free to register for additional groups each week! Questions? Please email your host - kirstie@handtohold.org
